For Students
Teaching and Advising
I enjoy teaching and academic advising, perhaps more than a person should. I've taught both undergraduate and graduate students, and directed a number of one-on-one tutorials and indepedent study projects. On my CV, I list my teaching competencies as:
- media and new media
criticism;
- feminist, queer and
postcolonial theories of representation;
- cultural and American
studies;
- history of communications
technologies;
- theories of classical
aesthetics;
- contemporary branding
and advertising practices;
- histories of theatre
and performance;
- public speaking and
rhetoric;
- group communication
and learning communities.
That's a bit of a mouthful, isn't it?
