Assignment 10: Making and Delivering a Survey

For your final exam, you will take a position on a topic in Communication Studies and argue that position to the class. For now, though, you are going to pick your topic and survey your fellow students to get their opinions.
Your assignment consists of the following steps:

1. Go to "Viewpoints." Pick a topic on the list that appeals to you and read both viewpoints on the topic (the titles are hyperlinked to web articles.)

3. After reading both viewpoints, ask yourself, “Which of these two views do I agree with most strongly?” This decision forms the basis of your persuasive speech.

4.Go to "Surveys." Read everything there.

5. Develop a five question survey for your classmates and put your survey online, using the tips you have learned from the links above.

6. After a week passes, compile the results of the survey. Render the results in graphic format so you can use them in your PowerPoint slides when you give your speech.
